School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science
Queen Mary University of London
Research
Wireless communication, 5G/6G and beyond networks, Internet of Things (IoT), Simultaneous Information and Power Transfer, Coverage, Sustainability
Interests
Dr Benkhelifa's research has an inter-disciplinary nature, leveraging mathematical models to encapsulate real-world dilemmas in wireless communication, Internet of Things (IoT), 5G and beyond (5GB) networks, etc. Her research program aims to model, schedule, optimise, manage and analyse methodologies, protocols and algorithms pertaining to IoT and 5GB domains. At the heart of her investigative toolkit lie probabilistic models, Markov Decision models, convex/nonconvex optimisation, stochastic geometry, and reinforcement learning methodologies.
Within her expansive scope, Dr Benkhelifa is particularly drawn to maximizing coverage throughput, ensuring sustainability and information timeliness, characterizing scalability, stability, and latency, and fortifying security through resource management algorithms, performance analysis frameworks, and key generation schemes.
