Interests

Our research focuses on the controlled assembly of functional nanostructures, down to single-molecule resolution. We use (supra)molecular interactions to drive the self- organization of nanoscale moieties into low-dimensional heterostructures, and from solution to nanopatterned substrates. We employ different building blocks for this: carbon nanotubes and 2D nanomaterials. (as transducers) and DNA origami (as nanoscale scaffolds). Applications range from studies in the field of (supra)molecular optoelectronics, to biosensing and single-molecule biological investigations.
